Djokovic is Named
Sportsman of the Year
A
number of awards have been given to world no.1 Novak Djokovic in the
last couple of months but probably the most prestigious came in London
as the 24 year-old Serb succeeded his great rivals Rafael Nadal and
Roger Federer as the 2012 Laureus World Sportsman of the Year.

professions that require you to change seasons every week, as Kimiko

France Determined
to Defend ITF Title
Top
seeds France will be looking to defend their title in the Tony Trabert
Cup (Men’s 40) with three members of last year’s victorious team making
the trip to the Seniors World Team and Individual Championships in San
Diego, which get under way today. The event features 166 teams from 27
countries. The country will face stiff competition from the second
seeded United States, whose side includes 1999 French Open doubles
finalist Jeff Tarango.
ITF Announces Fed
Cup Seeds
The
ITF has announced the seeds for the Draw for the 2012 Fed Cup by BNP
Paribas World Group and World Group II play-offs. The Draw will take
place on Tuesday 14 February at the ITF offices in London at 12:00 GMT.
The seeds are based on the new ITF Fed Cup Nations Ranking of February
6.
The four
seeded nations in the World Group Play-offs are:
USA (1), Belgium (2), Spain (3), Australia (4)
Henman Believes
Murray Will Follow in Djokovic’s Footsteps
Former
British player Tim Henman counts himself as a firm believer in his
tennis heir Andy Murray, with the four-time Wimbledon semi-finalist who
retired five years ago saying the Scot has improving chances to follow
in the footsteps of rival Novak Djokovic.

Ambassador for Australian Junior Tennis

Tomic will be announced as Ambassador for Junior Tennis initiative for
Tennis Australia at a press conference to be held today.
