India Has a Problem Over Olympic Menís Doubles Teaming

A long-simmering Indian doubles feud looks set to spill over into the London Olympics, with Leander Paes seeming a pariah to a pair of his fellow ATP colleagues.

Tennis officials have blasted Rohan Bopanna and Mahesh Bhupathi for refusing to team with No. 7 Paes in doubles. The problem is as much player politics as anything else, with Bhupathi and Bopanna now a team on the ATP.

 

Kvitova Thanks Navratilova for Advice That Helped Her Win Wimbledon

Czech star Petra Kvitova says it was advice from her role model (tennis legend Martina Navratilova) that helped her to win Wimbledon last year.

When asked what Navratilova had said to her, Kvitova just smiled and said: ďItís a secret. Iím not going to tell anyone.Ē

 

 

Sock Awarded Newport Wild Card

Up and coming young American Jack Sock has received a wild card and will make his Newport debut at the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships to be held July 9-15.

Other players committed to compete include defending champion John Isner, The Bryan Brothers, Milos Raonic, Kei Nishikori, Sam Querrey, Lleyton Hewitt, Donald Young, and Nicolas Mahut.

A professional tennis photographer has been shooting for almost 40 years at all the major and minor tennis tournaments for the wires systems, daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies. He has been to venues all over the world and has compiled tennis images (archives) of all the professionals and some juniors.  The images have all been preserved in a temperature-controlled environment and are color positives (slides), color and black & white negatives and contact sheets, as well as digital.
