Being Number One
Novak
Djokovic has been the world No. 1 for one year. The Serb took over the
spot a year ago from Rafael Nadal and has not relinquished his grip.
"It was obviously
always my ambition and my career goal to be the best at what I do," said
the top seed. "I've been dedicating my whole life to this sport, and I
was able to achieve my goals last year in Wimbledon to win my dream
tournament and then become No. 1," said Djokovic.
Without a Coach,
Tsonga Consults Other Players
Jo
Wilfried Tsonga is the only member of the top 10 without a coach, but he
continues to make strides even though many players believe it’s critical
to have another person watching their technique and plotting match
strategies for them.
"Even if I'm alone, I
like to ask," he said. "I like to learn from the others. So every time,
when I play, I try to have some advice from other guy like Guy Forget or
Arnaud Clément and players who are still on the tour."

Playing Under the Roof
Serena
Williams has been playing at Wimbledon since she was 16 years old, has
won the title singles titles four times and experienced a whole spectrum
of emotions on Centre Court. But playing under the closed roof was a new
experience for somebody on course for her 14th Grand Slam
victory, and an atmosphere in which she reveled.
“I loved the sound of
the balls. It’s kind of like a whoosh and a pop. It’s really cool. It’s
almost like a video game, but you’re playing. It kind of flies through
and you hear it when it lands. I really like playing indoors.’’
Rededicated Kerber
Finds Success
The
tennis world only really began to become familiar with German Angelique
Kerber at the 2011 US Open, when she stunned an in-form Agnieszka
Radwanska. Ten months later, the left hander has become a significant
player, cracking the top eight and now reaching her second Grand Slam
semifinal.
Today she will face
Radwanska again, this time in the Wimbledon semifinals. Her road has
been long and arduous. but she is now reaping the benefits of her hard
work.
Murray is a
Multi-sport Fan

Murray is extremely cosmopolitan in his sporting tastes; he loves
watching both soccer and boxing but has also revealed himself to be an
ardent fan of NBA Basketball and maintains he gains inspiration in his
long standing quest to end a 76 year for a British champion at Wimbledon
by the patient success of Miami Heat star LeBron James.
