Nadal’s
Olympic Participation is Questionable
Rafael
Nadal, gold medalist in singles when Olympic tennis was contested in
Beijing nearly four years ago, has stressed concerns he will not be

Lendl to Coach
Murray From Connecticut
Ivan
Lendl, coach of Wimbledon finalist Andy Murray, has the perfect antidote
to tennis disappointment. He simply heads been back to the golf course
and this week will attempt to qualify for the Connecticut Open.
Lendl will remain in the United States during the
upcoming Olympics but will use his television to keep an eye on Murray’s
progress – when golfing commitments allow. The pair will next link up
for the two North American summer events on the ATP World Tour’s Masters
1000 series; first in Toronto for the Rogers Cup beginning August 6 and
then a week later move on to Cincinnati for the Western and Southern
Open.
Wickmayer Has
Lost Service Speed
Belgium’s
Yanina Wickmayer feels her game is progressing after a rough stretch
last year when she battled a debilitating back injury. After reaching
the semifinals of the Back of the West Classic at Stanford she is
projected to get close to the top 30 in the rankings, still off her
career high of No. 12 in April of 2010, but good enough for her as she
was concerned she might drop through floor in the first half of the
season as she didn’t’ feel quite ready to come back.
Lepchenko is
Pleased to Have US Passport
Varvara
Lepchenko, who grabbed a United States Olympic spot at the last minute
with a fourth round appearance at Roland Garros, is thrilled to be

lived in the United States for 10 and half years, and was given her US
citizenship in September, 2011.

check goes a Mercedes-Benz SLK BlueEFFICIENCY car, which the married man
suddenly finds handy.
Federer and
Murray Differ on How to Relax After Wimbledon
Seven-time
Wimbledon champion Roger Federer and losing finalist Andy Murray could
not have chosen more contrasting post-Grand Slam holidays, with the
Swiss soaking up restful sun while fellow tennis millionaire Murray got
caught out by Britain's summer weather misery.
