Nadal’s Recuperation Is Progressing Nicely

Rafael Nadal, absent from the current US Open and unable to represent Spain in the upcoming Davis Cup semi-final against the United States, has been reassured by his doctor Angel Ruiz-Cotorro that he doesn’t require surgery on the knee problems that have left him sidelined since Wimbledon.

 

Azarenka And Sharapova Qualify For Istanbul

Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sharapova will clash head to head in the US Open semi-final but the Australian Open champion and her French Open winning rival are the first players to qualify for this year’s TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships, which will be staged at the Sinan Erdem Arena in Istanbul, Turkey from October 23-28.

 

Murray Qualifies For London

Andy Murray’s progression to an eighth semi-final in the last ten Grand Slam events with a four sets win over Marin Cilic was sufficient to clinch qualification for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at London’s 02 Arena from November 5-12.

 

 

 

ITA To Honor Dunwoody With Achievement Award

General Ann E. Dunwoody, alumna of the State University of New York at Cortland Class of 1975, will receive the highest honor bestowed by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association when she is presented with the 2012 ITA Achievement Award, hosted by the International Tennis Hall of Fame (ITHF) and presented by Rolex Watch U.S.A. Dunwoody will receive her award on Friday, Sept. 7, at the ITHF Board of Directors Meeting at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York.

A professional tennis photographer has been shooting for almost 40 years at all the major and minor tennis tournaments for the wires systems, daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies. He has been to venues all over the world and has compiled tennis images (archives) of all the professionals and some juniors.  The images have all been preserved in a temperature-controlled environment and are color positives (slides), color and black & white negatives and contact sheets, as well as digital. There are in excess of 400,000 images and they are for sale. Seller will transfer copyright and will give total usage to the purchaser.
