Djokovic is battling fatigue at the end of a long ATP season, But the
Serb No. 1 is still building his energy level for a round-robin match
with rival Andy Murray at the World Tour Finals.
Injuries Still Taking Toll On Women Players
The
WTA ‘s condensed season has certainly pleased the players when it comes
to increased vacation time, but as exciting as the Czech Republic’s 3-1
victory over Serena in the Fed Cup final was, three of the main
protagonists were affected by injury and illness.
That’s why it’s not surprising that of the four singles players who
competed during the weekend _ Czechs Petra Kvitova and Lucie Safarova
and Serbs Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic – the only woman to win two
matches was Safarova, who was the only healthy player of the lot.
Federer In Favor Of Increased Drug Testing

Federer says he is in favor of more blood testing in tennis, backing up
Andy Murray, who has said that the ITF and WADA do a fair amount of drug
testing, but that they could do more.
Williams Aims To Be Number One Again
Serena
Williams is trumpeting her comeback chances on a "goodwill" tour of
Africa, with the American not shy about boasting that she is headed back
to world No. 1 status. "I've been No. 1 before and believe me, I'll be
No. 1 again. It's just a matter of time."
