At Hopman Cup And USA Loses
John
Isner insists that he should be right for the Australian Open after his
withdrawal from the Hopman Cup sent the US out of title competition.
Isner quit prior to a group match with Fernando Verdasco, a decision
which sent Spain into the final.
Sharapova Will
Play In Melbourne Without A Warm-up Tournament
Maria
Sharapova will begin the Australian Open in a fortnight without a 2013
match after withdrawing from the Brisbane International with a right
collarbone injury which has troubled her for a few weeks.

Wants To Replace Evert
As
she heads into the closing years of her career, Serena Williams is on
track to bid for the title of oldest woman to ever hold the WTA top
ranking. But the 31-year-old must first get past younger rivals Victoria
Azaranka and Maria Sharapova over the course of the next months of the
new season.
Williams is aiming to replace Chris Evert, who
dominated the rankings nearly three decades ago aged 30 years 11 months
in 1985.

Fine Form And Ready For The New Season

Azarenka laid down a marker with the loss of just one game to reach the
semi-finals of the Brisbane international, with the No. 1 telling rival
Serena Williams: "come and get it" in the season ranking race.

at all the major and minor tennis tournaments for the wires systems,
daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies. He has been to
venues all over the world and has compiled tennis images (archives) of
all the professionals and some juniors. The images have all been
preserved in a temperature-controlled environment and are color
positives (slides), color and black & white negatives and contact
sheets, as well as digital. There are in excess of 400,000 images and
