Azarenka’s Coach Says Media Got Too Crazy

Victoria Azarenka's ability to set herself straight emotionally after enduring 48 hours of criticism for taking a medical timeout up 5-4 in the second set of her 6-1, 6-4 semifinal victory over Sloane Stephens keyed her Australian Open title run, her coach said. Sam Sumyk, who has been by the Belarusian’s side since for a little more than three years, was none too pleased with how some broadcasters and print and internet media laid into his student, calling a group of reporters "sharks” after she beat Li Na for the title.

 

Azarenka Claims She Never Thought Number One Rank Was At Stake

Victoria Azarenka held off a possible takeover at the top of women's tennis from absent Serena Williams by winning her second Australian Open title with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory over China's Li Na.

A professional tennis photographer has been shooting for almost 40 years at all the major and minor tennis tournaments for the wires systems, daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies. He has been to venues all over the world and has compiled tennis images (archives) of all the professionals and some juniors.  The images have all been preserved in a temperature-controlled environment and are color positives (slides), color and black & white negatives and contact sheets, as well as digital. There are in excess of 400,000 images and they are for sale. Seller will transfer copyright and will give total usage to the purchaser. The Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC) is a nationally recognized tennis facility in College Park, Maryland, that trains national and international level elite juniors.  JTCC also has a growing community outreach program for underprivileged youth.  This is a maturing experience for JTCC players because they learn to become role-models by teaching younger children how to play tennis.

Community Outreach Manager (COM) will work closely with the General Manger and CEO to manage all facets of program.
