Williams put the boot into the Dubai Open box-office with an ultra-late
injury withdrawal announced less than half an hour after the new world
number one was to have taken the court.
International Tennis Bodies To Discuss Enhancing Drug Testing
As
the main bodies of tennis prepare to meet in New York early next month
to determine vastly more meticulous drug testing in tennis and the
introduction of biological passports in the professional game, the World
Anti-Doping Agency believes the use of outlawed substances in all sport
are now worse than ever, and a new trans-national body is needed to
combat wide-ranging corruption.
Federer Visits His Foundation Project
Roger
Federer has paid a working visit to one of the crčches for preschool
children sponsored by his foundation in South Africa. The No. 2 is
making the trip between events in Rotterdam and next week in Dubai to
visit with children in a remote outpost of his mother's native country
where his foundation has been working since its start almost a decade
ago.

Contrary
to the four leading names in men’s tennis, newly reinstalled women’s

basis.
