Nadal Will Play
Indian Wells, Starting To Get Form Back
Rafael
Nadal has confirmed that he will play this week’s BNP Paribas Open at
Indian Wells and it appears he will go into the tournament in fine
shape.
Hong Kong Kicks
Off World Tennis Day
To
kick off World Tennis Day action today, legend John McEnroe will renew
his rivalry again Ivan Lendl, while good friends Caroline Wozniacki and
Agnieszka Radwanska will also face off.
The Hong Kong Tennis
Association will also host clinics to introduce kids to the sport. The
clinics are part of the International Tennis Federation’s worldwide
promotion of Tennis10s, a version of the sport tailored to suit the
youngest players with smaller racquets, lighter balls and altered
scoring.
Celebrities To
Attend LA Tennis Challenge
The
celebrities will come out prior to the LA Tennis Challenge at UCLA's
Pauley Pavilion tonight. Stars including Luke Wilson, Evan Handler,
Jodie Foster, Kyle Rudolph, Greg Germann, Tim Olyphant, Kaley Cuoco
and Keenan Ivory Wayans plus others are scheduled to walk the red carpet
at 5:30 prior to the exhibition.
ITA Names 2013 ITA Men's
Collegiate Tennis Hall of Fame Inductees
The
Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2013 inductees
for the ITA Men's Collegiate Tennis Hall of Fame. The 2013 class
consists of seven inductees:
Coaches - Bobby Bayliss (University of Notre Dame), Dennis
Emery (University of Kentucky), and John Peterson (Tyler Junior
College); Players -
Paul Goldstein (Stanford University), Kelly Jones (Pepperdine
University), and Harold Solomon (Rice University); and
Contributor - Alan
Schwartz (Yale University). The 2013 honorees will be inducted at the
2013 ITA Men's Collegiate Hall of Fame Enshrinement Banquet, which will
be held on May 22 during the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Tennis
Championships at the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL.

The Director will
also have an integral role in planning and coordinating the
