Elected To International Tennis Hall of Fame
Martina
Hingis, a former world No. 1 and the winner of 15 Grand Slam tournament
titles in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, has been elected to
receive the highest honor in the sport of tennis, enshrinement in the
International Tennis Hall of Fame. Joining Hingis in the Class of 2013
will be Australian tennis legend Thelma Coyne Long, longtime ESPN tennis
broadcaster Cliff Drysdale, tennis promoter and industry leader Charlie
Pasarell, and Romanian tennis great Ion Tiriac, has been elected in
recognition of his work to grow the sport through roles as an
influential player manager

Fish has admitted that his enforced six months absence from top-flight
tennis, as a result of a heart condition, has left the 31 year-old with
deep but understandable psychological scars.

might not be quite right in the sporting romance between Caroline
Wozniacki and golfer Rory McIlroy, with both young athletes slumping to
poor performances in recent days as speculation about their relationship
begins to pick up pace.
Serena And
Azarenka Are Not Bitter Rivals
The
world’s top two of Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka are showing
that they aren’t bitter rivals. After Williams beat Azarenka in the BNP
Paribas Showdown at Madison Square Garden, the two goofed around
together and even offered they are planning on performing a rendition of
the pop star Rihanna's song "Stay."

The Director will
also have an integral role in planning and coordinating the
