Murray Plays in
Indian Wells Without Coach Lendl" width="78" height="100" align="left" hspace="5">Andy
Murray is managing on his own during the Indian Wells Masters, with
coach Ivan Lendl awaiting a reunion with his third-ranked pupil at the
Miami major starting next week.

Kirilenko Is About
To Reach Top 10" width="100" height="68" align="left" hspace="5">Maria
Kirilenko gave up playing doubles at the end of January because her knee
was becoming sore and she was finding it hard to recover from two
different  competitions and be fresh for singles. At the age of 26, she
is making a big push to finally make into the top 10.

Djokovic Is
Sticking To His Gluten-Free Diet" width="64" height="100" align="left" hspace="5">Novak
Djokovic admits it can be tough to avoid the temptation of the Balkan
foods on which he grew up. But the top seed at the Indian Wells Masters
credits his mother's home cooking during infrequent visits to his
hometown of Belgrade with helping him stick to the dietary plan.

Murray Condemns
Grunting" width="74" height="100" align="left" hspace="5">Andy
Murray set the example for many players, both on the ATP World Tour and
WTA, to follow as he officially complained to umpire Steve Ullrich about
the excessive grunting coming from Argentine opponent Carlos Berlocq
during the pair’s BNP Paribas Open third round match at Indian Wells.

Also Noted

happy to get a day off at Indian Wells before his win over Stan Wawrinka
as his back has been sore. He will play Rafael Nadal in the
quarterfinals, the first time they have met before a semifinal since the
first time they played each other at Miami in 2004. Nadal's knee acted
up in his win over Ernests Gulbis too. . . Tracy Austin told Reuters
that the reason why teenagers no longer break through early on the WTA
is the Age Eligibility rule plus the game is so physical. . .US Davis
Cup captain Jim Courier wants his singles players John Isner and Sam
Querrey to adopt more of an in-your-face attitude when they face Serbia.
"I know everyone's different. You can't expect everyone to just
immediately snap-to when you ask them to put up a little bit more of a
street-fighter front,” Courier said. "But I'd like our guys to be more
street fighters on our team. I like them to walk around with their
chests out. Sam and John can absolutely bulldoze almost any player on
tour if they're playing well”. . .Nadal received a warning for a
coaching violation during his match against Ernests Gulbis. Nadal
claimed that the linesman who told on him couldn't have understood what
his coach Francisco Roig, was saying because he was speaking in Catalan.
Roig traditionally coaches Nadal at Indian Wells and Miami while his
regular coach, his uncle Toni, stays at home in Spain.
