The prospect of going into the match without leading player Milos Raonic, forced to withdraw from the Sony Open in Miami with a throat infection, is enough to spread panic.

Tickets to the 2013 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at The O2 in London are now on public sale, the ATP announced. From today, fans worldwide can secure their place at the spectacular season-ending tournament featuring only the world’s top eight singles and doubles teams of the season. Player Dies During California Event

An Algerian tennis player with a ranking outside the top 900 has died in California after losing in the first round of a Futures event. Police said Mehdi Bouras, 24, was pronounced dead in Costa Mesa, California.

The City of Coronado, California, is requesting proposals from qualified individuals or companies to provide retail tennis merchandise concessionaire services at the reconstructed Tennis Center.

Proposals may be obtained at the Coronado Community Center, 1845 Strand Way, Coronado, CA  92118, by emailing sdownes@coronado.ca.us,, on the City of Coronado’s website, www.coronado.ca.us, or by calling (619) 522-2451.
