Murray Might Skip French Open

Andy Murray, set to be named second seed for the French Open in just a few days, maintains he is highly doubtful to even arrive at Roland Garros, let alone hit a ball in anger.

 

 

 

Nadal Wants To Stop Talking About His Injuries

Rafael Nadal knows as much as any tennis player about injury setbacks. And with his own recent seven-month absence from the courts due to his chronic knee problems now becoming just a bad memory, the Spaniard has decided to try and close the door - for now - on constant chatter about his physical condition.

 

 

Watson Might Play Strasbourg 

While British tennis was filled with gloom over one devastating piece of news from Andy Murray, there was reason for optimism from Heather Watson.

The 21 year-old Channel Islander has returned to the practice court after suffering glandular fever and is hoping to make a comeback next week at the Strasbourg Open.

 

Wheelchair Tennis Group To Expand Its Scope

Bob Waldman, president of the New York-based Baseline Wheelchair Tennis Foundation, reports the foundation is working on a fundraising mission to provide wheelchair tennis exhibitions to educate the public and increase the visibility of wheelchair tennis.

The Tennis Center at College Park (TCCP) is interviewing for a full time staff teaching professional.   Primary compensation is based on generating private lessons during non-prime time hours.  Benefits include health insurance.

The TCCP is a premiere tennis club located just outside downtown Washington, DC.  The Tennis Center at College Park is a USTA Regional Training Center, home of the Junior Tennis Champions Center training program, as well as, the University of Maryland tennis teams.
