French Open champion Maria Sharapova erred on the side of the caution as she retired from the Internazionali BNL d’Italia after falling ill overnight with Roland Garros about to start in little more than a week's time.

 

 

 

Murray To Have MRI Today And Might Skip Paris

Initial pessimism that Andy Murray would miss the upcoming French Open because of an injury to his lower back might have been rather a spur of the moment reaction after the world no.2’s withdrawal from the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome but a full MRI scan the player will undergo today in London will be more definitive on the state of his fitness.

 

 

Djokovic Hopes Murray Has Speedy Recovery

While Novak Djokovic feels that his ankle injury from last month is finally over, the hard work is just beginning for injured rival Andy Murray.

Djokovic expressed his hopes that Murray would be able to somehow play the French Open despite the back pain which forced him to quit his opening matching Rome and head to London for medical consultations.

 

Romboli Will Return To Tour After Serving Drug Violation Ban

Brazil’s Fernando Romboli, currently ranked a lowly 452 on the ATP Word Tour rankings, has served an eight and a half months ban after being found guilty of committing doping offences by the International Tennis Federation.

The Tennis Center at College Park (TCCP) is interviewing for a full time staff teaching professional.   Primary compensation is based on generating private lessons during non-prime time hours.  Benefits include health insurance.
