FINAL REVIEW – BRYANS EDGE FRENCH DUO FOR 14TH MAJOR TEAM TITLE
• Bob and Mike Bryan captured their 14th major team title, triumphing at Roland Garros for the second time (2003).
• The Bryans became the first team to complete a career Grand Slam twice.
• The American twins lifted their seventh trophy of the season and have won 14 successive matches, following titles in Madrid and Rome.
• Michael Llodra and Nicolas Mahut were aiming to become the first French team to win the Roland Garros title since Henri Leconte and Yannick Noah in 1984.
• Mahut was contesting his first major final.

WHAT THE PLAYERS SAID

Bob Bryan: “The crowd was just keeping them kind of pumped up, which made it a little bit tougher. It felt like a Davis Cup match in a lot of ways. Just proud of the way we kind of stayed with it and always kept believing all the way.”

Mike Bryan: “It's great winning slams with your brother. We really wanted to win another [Roland Garros]. It's been ten years. This is the first one we won back in the day and kind of launched our career. This is the toughest Slam to win, I think. Clay is an equaliser and makes a lot of teams better.”

Michael Llodra: “It's not finished until the end and you have to fight until the last ball. Today we were close to losing the match two sets to love and we fought until the end. We got chances, but not enough to [beat] the Bryans today.”
