Federer Is Gaining Confidence As He Moves To Grass Competition

Roger Federer is optimistic that his best tennis is arriving as the ATP moves onto grass for the month. The 17-time grand slam winner is starting his campaign on the lawns as he chases a sixth title in Germany at the Halle event.

The 31-year-old believes that the "best stage this year is yet to come" for his tennis as the defense of his Wimbledon title approaches from June 24. Despite not winning a trophy since last August on the ATP, the world number three remains confident in his game.

Tomic Is Spotted At Queen’s After Buying A Ticket

John Tomic, the controversial father of Australian no.1 Bernard Tomic, supposedly banned worldwide from attending all Grand Slam and ATP World Tour tournaments after allegedly assaulting his son’s doubles partner in Madrid last month, defied his suspension to gain entry to the Aegon Championships at London’s Queen’s Club and sit just two rows back from the playing surface.

Hewitt Is Delighted To Back On Grass

Lleyton Hewitt is so happy to be back on grass that the 32-year-old Australian doesn't need anyone spoiling his current good mood as he builds at Queen's club for his 15th straight Wimbledon appearance.

Queen’s Club Notes

The start time for play at The Queen's Club today has been brought forward from 12.30pm to 11am to catch up on the matches that were postponed on Tuesday.

Chris Kermode, Tournament Director of the Aegon Championships, said: “It was a frustrating day with the weather on Tuesday, particularly for the spectators, but from a scheduling perspective we were at least able to complete a couple of singles matches on Centre Court, and 13 in total. On Wednesday, we are expecting a dry start, so we have moved the start time forward to 11am to enable us to play as many matches as possible.”

An Ace Day For A Young Andy Murray Fan. . .

For 12 year old Elijah Ortiz-Herrera tennis isn’t just a hobby; it’s helped him to take his mind off hospital appointments and chemotherapy since being diagnosed with cancer. So, when Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, the charity that grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions, told him his wish to meet his tennis idol Andy Murray was being granted, he was thrilled.
