Wimbledon To Enforce Tomic Ban

Wimbledon has followed the French Open and banned John Tomic from entering the gates of the All England Club after last month's ATP ban on him coaching his 64th-ranked son Bernard.



Nadal Is Seeded Fifth At Wimbledon

Rafael Nadal, twice a Wimbledon champion and winner of 43 out of 45 matches since returning to ATP World Tour action in February including a record eighth French Open title, has surprisingly been seeded fifth for the upcoming Championships; a place below his compatriot David Ferrer.



Mattek-Sands Expected To Stand Out At Wimbledon

No player probably feels more restricted than the United States’ Bethanie Mattek-Sands by the traditional ruling of the All England Club to wear predominantly white clothing.

But as the current world no.55 warmed up for Wimbledon on the Aorangi Park practice courts her hair was dyed the All England Club colors of purple and green but even more controversially she wore the revolutionary Google Glass, which is a voice-activated device designed to be worn like a pair of spectacles.


PTR Joins The Safe Sport Initiative

Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) announced the latest addition to its education initiative – PTR Promotes a Safe Sport for All.   In his announcement, PTR CEO Dan Santorum said, “PTR is committed to increasing awareness, education and hopefully, prevention of all forms of abuse against children.”  


Tennis Canada To Honor Cayer and Pedlar

On Wednesday, Tennis Canada announced that Louis Cayer and Jack Pedlar will be inducted into the Canadian Tennis Hall of Fame in recognition of their invaluable contributions to the history of tennis in Canada.

Sherwood Swim and Racquet Club, Greensboro, North Carolina seeks an assistant professional.

This is a full-time position involving teaching group lessons for players of all ages and levels. It also involves running leagues and helping organize social events.  Must be at least a 5.0 player.

The position has a base salary plus a percentage of private lessons and an hourly clinic rate.
