Southern California Open, a WTA Premier 700 tennis event, announced its
official tournament field, which includes 10 of the Top 20 players in
the world. A major stop on the Emirates Airline US Open Series calendar,
the women’s professional tennis tournament will be hosted once again at
the beautiful La Costa Resort and Spa on July 27-August 4.
USTA Pro Circuits To Offer US Open Wild Cards
USTA announced that USTA Player Development will award a main draw wild
card to one American man and one American woman who earn the most ATP
World Tour and WTA tour ranking points in a series of USTA Pro Circuit
events this summer. Only players who have not earned direct acceptance
into the US Open are eligible for the wild card.
