It's only the start of Wimbledon but as far as the China Open is concerned, the highlight of the tennis year will come in two months when Novak Djokovic returns to headline the ATP event. The Westside Club, Spartanburg, South Carolina, has several positions open in the 14 court club with 8 outdoor clay courts, 4 indoor hard courts and 2 outdoor hard courts.  More information about the club can be seen at  www.thewestsideclub.com. To be filled are Director of Tennis, Head Pro and several teaching pros.

The Tennis Director will report directly to General Manager/Owner

Description of position:
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and supervision of the tennis department.
Ensure tennis pros achieve or exceed monthly revenue goal.
Maintain the tennis department business plan and budget.
Coach tennis pros to initiate, develop, and maintain personalized relationships with members.
Provide excellent tennis instruction and customer service to encourage repeat business.

Also responsible for execution of tennis programs for all ages and levels. 
Ensure that all club members understand and observe safety rules and tennis etiquette. 
Be certain that all tennis facilities and equipment are clean, organized and in good working condition.
Quickly and efficiently respond to member questions, comments, and concerns.

Additional duties include a promotional effort aimed at involving current members with programs, tournaments and special events, fully utilizing available marketing support and tools. 
Be effective at integrating new members into the tennis programs and identify and reach out to inactive members and engaging them to return to tennis.
Ensure tennis pros and staff are promoting and selling tennis programs, lessons, court time, equipment, etc. and encouraging repeat business. 
Manage the tennis department budget including revenue, expenses, etc.

Position Title: Head Tennis Professional

The Head Tennis Professional would report directly to the Tennis Director/General Manager/Owner.

Requirements:
Candidates should have a passion for tennis and at least 3 years of tennis coaching experience. The ideal candidate for this position will be a minimum 5.0 level player, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work with all ages and levels of players and be an organized creative team player as well as maintaining a motivated work ethic.

Position Description: The tennis professional hired for this position will teach private lessons, adult and junior clinics, as well as being responsible for helping run and create tournaments and other social events. They will also be responsible for promoting the tennis program and overall success of the Westside Club.

Certifications:  Required.

Compensation:  Provided upon request post application being received.
