World no.1 Novak Djokovic has announced his support for banned Davis Cup team-mate Viktor Troicki, maintaining the 27 year-old is ‘innocent’ of the doping violation that saw him handed an 18-month suspension by the International Tennis Federation.

Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli says that she’s not resting on her laurels after winning her first grand slam title at Wimbledon last month.

The Frenchwoman says that she is training as hard as ever and even though she realizes that it will be a big challenge to repeat her success at the US Open, she is going to give it a try.

Canadian Jesse Levine is hoping to show no fear as he heads into a second-round match with Rafael Nadal in Montreal as the Spaniard plays singles for the first time since losing in the Wimbledon first round six weeks ago. Nadal and Pablo Andujar tuned up with a doubles win, 12-10 in the third set with No. 4 Nadal looking fit in his hardcourt start.

 

 

Williams Is Hoping For A 2011 Repeat

Serena Williams is hoping for a repeat of her 2011 hardcourt summer in which a title in Toronto paved the way for another US Open final a few weeks later. The world No. 1 has the elite field almost to herself in Canada this week, with new world No. 2 Victoria Azarenka out injured and No. 3 Maria Sharapova also not quite ready for a return after hip problems.

Tennis Dynamics manages the Laurel Park Tennis Center and we are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and professional individual to round out our current staff. The Laurel Park Tennis Center is located in Marietta, GA. The facility consists of 13 tennis courts. Our programs include junior and adult ALTA/USTA teams as well as Junior and Adult clinics during the week and weekends.  The ideal candidate will have collegiate playing experience and/or an NTRP rating of 4.5 or higher. The position will begin as part-time but could easily lead to a full-time position for the right individual. This individual will assist in implementing current programs and help create new programs. Professional certification preferred as well as strong playing skills. Candidates will also possess strong communication skills, positive attitude, excellent teamwork, desire to provide outstanding customer service, and a charismatic enthusiasm about the sport of tennis. Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekend and potentially holiday hours. This position will receive an hourly rate for all clinics, lessons, and team practices taught. Racquet stringing and pro shop hours may also be part of this individual’s responsibility. Compensation is based on experience. A Collection of Tennis Images For Sale

A professional tennis photographer has been shooting for almost 40 years at all the major and minor tennis tournaments for the wires systems, daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies. He has been to venues all over the world and has compiled tennis images (archives) of all the professionals and some juniors.  The images have all been preserved in a temperature-controlled environment and are color positives (slides), color and black & white negatives and contact sheets, as well as digital.
