It Is A “New” Andy Murray Playing In US Open

Ten years have elapsed since Andy Murray became the US Open’s junior champion and two since the Scot finally moved into the adult Grand Slam winner’s circle at Flushing Meadows. But according to the Scot, New York tennis fans will see a new Murray when he begins the year’s concluding major next week.

 

Williams To Play A Reduced Schedule in 2015

Serena Williams has indicated she plans to reduce her playing schedule, having completed a season in which she set a personal record for matches played.

 

Murray Has A New Fan

Andy Murray's tennis may be currently on the slide, but the Scot has a fan in teenager Aussie Nick Kyrgios, the man who knocked Rafael Nadal out of Wimbledon. Murray's game has hit the doldrums after modest showings on hardcourt at the Masters pair in Toronto and Cincinnati, with the Scot without a title for nearly 14 months.

 

Murray Looks Forward to Letting Loose After Retirement 

Andy Murray's no-nonsense short-back-and-sides hairstyle remains only a temporary solution for the Scot, who confesses to yearning to cut loose in his life once he leaves the game.

While he has admitted to dreaming of having long hair again, Murray appears resigned to the fact that he will have to keep it short and sweet as long as he's a figure in the sport.

Wilson is currently looking for a Racquet Sports Territory Manager in the Atlanta, GA region. The Territory Sales Manager manages the sales efforts and operations for a defined territory to achieve and exceed revenue targets and market share growth objectives.

Essential Responsibilities

  •  Achieve the annual territory sales plan revenue and distribution objectives in the defined territory and meet the annual key product category objectives.

  •  Develop, plan, and execute a strategic sales plan in selling to and managing Team Dealers, Sporting Goods Retailers, Mass Merchants and other trade channels.

Maximize in-person contact and sales call coverage with assigned accounts, colleges, universities, high schools, travel organizations, and leagues.

  • Recruit and manage high visibility teaching pros to enhance the promotion of Wilson Racquet Sports.
  • Increase Wilson’s brand presence and image with customers and consumers through promotional activity.
  • Develop annual business plan designed to deliver account objectives of assigned accounts.
  • Aggressively seek out and develop new business partners and accounts strategically within territory.
  • Keep Regional Manager informed of trade related information on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop and maintain great working relationships with key personnel in each account.
  • Develop layouts/merchandising concepts for accounts to ensure distribution/merchandising objectives are met.
  • Complete all reports and records on a timely basis.

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree. Equivalent work experience may be substituted
  • 2-3 years sales experience in packaged goods or related industry
  • Tennis industry selling experience preferred

Qualifications, Skills, Abilities & Competencies    

  • Demonstrated ability to sell, influence and negotiate
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required within and outside the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills, analytical ability, and strategic planning
  • Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Products:  Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred
  • Extensive travel required
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Home office environment required
  • Strong knowledge of the sport of tennis and indoor sports
