The 1987 Wimbledon champion Pat Cash will return to the Royal Albert Hall for Champions Tennis, 2-6 December.
Cash joins John McEnroe, Mats Wilander, Henri Leconte and Mansour Bahrami in an all-star line-up of exhibition matches at the ever-popular event.
Tim Henman, defending champion Fernando Gonzalez, debutant James Blake and 2002 Wimbledon semifinalist Xavier Malisse will contest an ATP Champions Tour tournament as part of the event, which is staged and owned by IMG, the global leader in sports, fashion, events and media.
“Champions Tennis at the Royal Albert Hall is always one of the highlights of the year for me,” said Cash. “You never tire of the chance to play in front of packed crowds in one of the most iconic venues in the world. John McEnroe and I had a really close battle last year – it was like the old days – and I’ll be trying to get my revenge this year!”
As well as his Wimbledon title, Cash also reached Australian Open finals in 1987 and 1988, and led his nation to Davis Cup glory in 1983 and 1986.
Champions Tennis at the Royal Albert Hall is the season-finale to the ATP Champions Tour and is played over five days, with two sessions each day – one in the afternoon, one in the evening, with a mixture of singles and doubles matches.
