Controversial Nick Kyrgios may be in his off-season, but that certainly is not keeping the Aussie ATP bad boy out of the news. The gossip sheets at home are having a good run with reports that the 20-year-old who will be playing the opening weeks of next season under the threat of an ATP disciplinary ban, has been dating fellow pro Ajla Tomljanovic.

The adopted Aussette from Croatia has become the subject of numerous Kyrgios Twitter posts, leading insiders to begin the speculation. ‘Need a hot white chocolate mocha @ajlatom,’ Kyrgios tweeted as he changed his Facebook main picture to a snap of himself and his new squeeze.

The No. 30 also re-tweeted a Twitter image posted by Ajla of her standing next to a horse and caption read: ‘Getting to know each other’ with the hashtag ‘taking it slow.’ The player also apparently enjoyed a family get-together with the Tomljanovic clan according to tweets. Australian media also reported that Kyrgios spent last week visiting Brisbane, home of his apparent girlfriend. The pair later attended the Queensland Tennis Awards after Tomljanovic was nominated for the Queensland player of the year (won by Sam Stosur).

Ajla, meanwhile wants to keep it all on the down-low, denying reports of a romance according to Aussie media. “He supports all the Aussies. He watches other Aussies matches as well. We’re good friends and it’s nice to see the support,” she told Fox Sports.

Kyrgios already has a reputation with tennis ladies, having gone through a Twitter flirt earlier this season with Victoria Azarenka, the double Australian Open winner now at a loose end after injury and a breakup with American rapper and muso Redfoo in June last year after two years of dating and a number of engagement rumors.

Kyrgios drew fire – plus fines and warnings – in August for an on-court clash in Montreal with French Open winner Stan Wawrinka, with the Aussie hothead insulting the Swiss player’s teenaged girlfriend Donna Vekic, ranked 105 on the WTA.
