The Nottingham Open is set to stay at its current location at the Nottingham Tennis Centre, confirmed the tournament director.
The ATP 250 event had a one-year deal to hold the tournament that has been extended further by the ATP tour.
“We never made a big announcement about it as we plan to do something big in the new year in Nottingham with a press conference and releasing some of our plans for it, what we will be doing and the type of players,” said Paul Hutchins to the Nottingham Post. “But I am happy to say now, before this, that Nottingham will definitely be hosting the Aegon Open.”
Nottingham also holds a WTA event. The Wimbledon warm-up was praised for the quality of its grasscourts and attracted good crowds, with the final three sessions completely sold.
David Ferrer was the top name during the first year of the event.
