GASQUET WINS THIRD MONTPELLIER TITLE; PAVIC/VENUS CLINCH DOUBLES
– Richard Gasquet beat Paul-Henri Mathieu to win the third all-French Open Sud de France final
– Gasquet captured his third title from four straight finals at the ATP World Tour 250 indoor tournament, including in 2013 (d. Paire) and 2015 (d. Janowicz)
– Gasquet is now 13-12 in ATP World Tour finals, having last clinched a trophy in May 2015 at Estoril (d. Kyrgios)
– Mathieu was appearing in his 10th ATP World Tour final (4-6 mark) and his first since reaching the title match at 2015 Kitzbuhel (l. to Kohlschreiber)
– Mate Pavic and Michael Venus captured their third ATP World Tour team title, and their second trophy of 2016
– Pavic and Venus, who are now 3-2 in ATP World Tour team finals, also lifted last month’s Auckland title (d. Butorac-Lipsky)

Gasquet: “It was great for me to win another title. I am very proud to win my third title here, because it was a great match against a good friend. He had nothing to lose, so it was great to win.”
Venus: “We’ve had a great week here. It’s my first time in Montpellier, everyone has been really helpful. All of the volunteers have done a tremendous job. We really enjoyed it and hope to be back.”
