Ivo Karlovic not only secured the ATP aces record last week, but he has inked a deal with a new clothing sponsor to accompany his achievement.

My OCK, a small clothing company based in Marseille, had signed the Croat the week before to wear its apparel for his six tournaments left this season. Karlovic had not had a clothing sponsor for a while, despite a resurgent season that has seen him get back to No. 18 in the rankings.

The company designed a special T-shirt for the occasion, and has been happy with the publicity it received when Karlovic got the record at Beijing. He wore the company’s t-shirt to his press conference, and was photographed in a t-shirt with “King of Aces” and the company’s mark on it.

The company has never previously signed such a high-profile name, though it has sponsored a few French players.

Terms of the deal were not given. Neither company nor player has said whether they intend to extend the agreement.
